YOUNG WEDA
If you are a young professional involved in dredging related work, or a student thinking of making a career of it, Young WEDA is the place for you - We represent youthful WEDA members all over the western hemisphere and give them easy access to a unique network of young professionals in the field of dredging, representing research institutes, universities, industry, governmental authorities and consultants. Young WEDA provides members with plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas, gain new technical insights, and expand networks with valuable new contacts to enhance their careers.

OUR MISSION
Young WEDA is dedicated to creating a platform for young members to express and present themselves whilst allowing for the opportunity to interact with older or more experienced fellow dredging enthusiasts and colleagues.
Young WEDA actively participates in the organization of conferences, seminars and national meetings but also organizes its own activities. Above all, Young WEDA helps to carry out the WEDA mission and objectives and is an ambassador for the dredging profession in general.
And finally Young WEDA members aim to have fun!!

Dredging Summit & Expo '19
The 2019 Dredging Summit & Expo will be held at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago from June 4-7, 2019. During this event, Young WEDA members and newcomers will have numerous opportunities to network among the best dredging organizations throughout the world.
Every evening from 5:00 to 6:15 PM, students and young professionals in the industry will be mixing in the Young WEDA lounge inside the exhibit hall, sharing their dredging experiences, brainstorming the future of the global dredging industry, and above all having fun. Company representatives and seasoned experts are welcomed to join us. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided every day.
On Wednesday evening June 5, 2019, immediately following the Young WEDA social hour, we will be having our annual Young WEDA Reception (location TBD). Heavy appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
