LOCATION:
The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center is scenically located on Seawall Boulevard. It is a 32-acre, beachfront hotel and spa resort with breathtaking Gulf views on beautiful Galveston Island, Texas. The San Luis Resort is only a 10min drive from Galveston’s Strand Historic District. (The San Luis Resort is roughly a 43 mile drive from William P. Hobby (HOU) Airport and a 70 mile drive from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH))

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Western Dredging Association is conducting its annual meeting from November 12-14, 2019 at the San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center in Galveston, TX. The meeting will provide a forum for the exchange of information of interest to the dredging industry and its associates. Representatives from all areas of the industry, including regulatory, resource agencies, contracting, and manufacturing, will attend to discuss dredging economics, benefits, technologies and current issues. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) certificates will be available for this meeting.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:
The WEDA hotel block is sold out at the San Luis Resort.  The San Luis Resort is also sold out of all other rooms.  There is a Holiday Inn Resort (409-740-5300) that is located adjacent to the San Luis Resort that has some rooms available.  We are working with them to get a block of rooms for the conference, but you are welcome to call in and reserve ahead of time.  There is also the Hilton Galveston Island Resort (409-744-5000) located 5minutes walking distance from the San Luis Resort that also has some rooms available.  Both of these locations also offer Per Diem rate for Government Employees.

Fees include access to all functions including meetings, presentations and exhibitors and services throughout the conference.The fees also include the following events:

EXHIBITING OPPORTUNITIES:
The 2019 Gulf Coast WEDA Conference has limited amount of Exhibitor Space available for contractors, vendors, etc wishing to showcase their company. Exhibitors will be provided access to the exhibition space on the morning of November 13 to set up booths and prepare for the event. Each Exhibitor Space will be provided a 3' x 6' space. GOLF TOURNAMENT:  View all details
The Board of Directors of the WEDA Gulf Coast Chapter are pleased to announce the annual golf tournament to be held at the Moody Gardens Golf Course.

Entry Fee:
$60 per player / $200 for 4 person team 

Your entry fee includes pastries and coffee at registration, range balls, 18 holes of golf at Moody Gardens Golf Course in Galveston, motorized golf cart, 2 drink tickets, and a Box Brunch!

Platinum & Diamond sponsorships will be provided with one complementary 4-person team

2018 Gulf Coast Chapter Annual Meeting 

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Western Dredging Association conducted its annual meeting on November  15, 2018 at the ACE Hotel in New Orleans, LA. The WEDA Gulf Coast Chapter Board would like to thank all of our sponsors, speakers and attendees for making the meeting a HUGE success!
